Meet our new partner!

Meet our New Partner!

At Clawguard, our brand is rooted in love. Our mission is Less Damage. More LOVE., and our goal is to provide pet-friendly home protection solutions so that pet owners can concentrate less on the damage their pet is causing, and more on loving their pets by addressing their needs and getting to the root of their destructive behaviors.

To address the root cause of your pet’s behaviors, we always recommend pairing our products with positive reinforcement training. Our new partner, Free Will Animal Training, does just that. Based in Charlotte, NC, Free Will Animal Training focuses on positive reinforcement, rewards based training. Emily Greene and Amy Blom, PhD, PCBC-A, founders and owners of Free Will Animal Training specialize in leash reactivity, separation anxiety, and aggression.

You may be asking yourself, “what is positive reinforcement training?” Put simply, positive reinforcement (or reward based training) uses rewards like treats, praise, or toys to reward desirable behavior. “Because the reward makes them more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing your dog's behavior.” (Humane Society of the United States)

As our partnership grows, you can expect to see Amy and Emily guest star on our social media channels (find us @clawguard on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), offer advice in our blogs, and serve as consultants, helping to ensure our products are pet-friendly and effective. To ensure training techniques are accessible to all, you can also expect to see FREE virtual training sessions open for all to attend.

Our friends at Free Will Animal Training offer in-person training as well as virtual services, meaning they can be a resource to anyone, anywhere.
